10-3 Visiting Scholars

Kaohsiung Medical University invites established speakers to give lectures and speech to provide innovative ideas to the students and the faculty members. Each year there are approximately 50 speakers invited to the campus.

For example, William Deal, former chair of National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation were invited to present “Advancement in Medical Education.”
0-4 Academic Cooperation

Every year Kaohsiung Medical University receives approximately twenty millions NTD funding from National Science Council. Additionally, in January 2005, National Research Council of Canada signed two year contract with KMU on “the study of Treatments of Osteonecrosis and Severe Bone Fracture Repair…”

10-5 International Conference and workshop

Every year Kaohsiung Medical University holds a variety of conferences for scholars and researchers to exchange research ideas. There are approximately 10 international conferences and workshops at KMU each year. Starting from 2001, KMU holds, The Annual Terry Fox Foundation Runs.College of Life Science held Mini-Symposium on Cancer Research in 2005 October 29 and 2005 International Symposium on New Drug Development: From Bench to Clinics.Various conferences are held in each year, for example, International Conference of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Chinese Association for the Study of Pain, International Conference of Novel Genetic Approaches to Metabolic Syndrome…etc.
